Isn't it amazing how the young fawns will obey their mother and stay frozen in one spot until she returns! If they do move you have really spooked them or the mother has been gone for too long because something has happened to her and the fawn will turn to you for help. Great shot!

also invading the space of a fawn is very dangerous, predators may be watching every move a person takes to get their 'admired' photo

That's one of the closest baby deer shots iv seen
