It was September and there were still Monarch caterpillars outside. With the threat of 4 nights of freezing temperatures, I dug up the milkweed plant they were on and brought it inside. There was a chrysalis already and the last caterpillar was just getting ready to make its transformation. That was the only one to hatch. It was a male so I called him George. Unfortunately, George only lived two days. But at least he had the chance.
