Thank you Tanya. This was a couple of days into a 8,100 km drive through the goldfields to Perth, around the SW coast, across the Nullabor Plain, to Port Lincoln and back to Alice. A great journey.

Sorry, tried to edit and accidentally deleted my comment. I bet that was a hot journey. I hope u had lots of water stocks! My parents have some horror stories of crossing the Nullabor (before I was born), they broke down, had 1L of water and 3 chocolate bars between 3 of them, and 100's of k's to the nearest servo. Hopefully they have upgraded it in the last 40 years?
