They say it's grim up North. It certainly was the week I spent up there, the words bleak and wet are the probably the most accurate. The scenery however is breathtaking and there really is no other place like Scotland. I really wanted to see some Golden Eagles and the place where we stayed was an excellent location for spotting these elusive creatures I set off one morning on a trail through the mountains. Birds are like us humans - not keen on wet weather so my hopes weren't very high. Still, you never know unless you try, and the walk through to a place called GlenMore was spectacular the mist rolling over the mountain peaks added plenty of atmosphere and I enjoyed every moment. I've called this image Cold River due to experiencing the temperature when my foot slipped and felt the how cold it was. Thanks for any favourites and comments.
