Exploring the south coast of Lombok, the coast around here is very rugged. I would compare it to a tropical Cornwall. This particular evening I was really struggling to find a good composition forcing myself further and further along the coast. Not a soul in sight. The light was fading fast as it does so close to the equator, I could see a small island which looked like it had potential and a tidal crossing was needed. I knew the tide was on the move and this tidal crossing would be very hazardous shortly. It was my last hope of returning with an image that evening and made the trek to the island knowing time was against me. Having made it safely across I found this lovely scene and managed to get a shot I was happy with before making a hasty retreat back to the mainland. Saw a couple of large monitor lizards bathing in the last of the light, they also saw me and scoured up the rock face. I really want to start doing photography workshops focusing on seascapes and this dream will hopefully start up later this year. Thanks for any likes and comments! Don't forget to check out my other work!
