This is my best friend, and this is his annual portrait for his birthday. I cannot believe how white he's grown, how much he's slowed down, and how my heart still grows for him every single day. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't brought him home 13 years ago. It was a dark time in my life and he kept me going.
