I am revisiting some 10 year old files with today's editing software - and wow. It's also fun to relive one of my favorite trips!
We were staying at the Lotte, in the background of the photo (red letters, dead center) which is next to City Hall in Seoul. We learned very quickly you never want to be the first person in a crosswalk in Seoul, or the last. Our first night in the city we just walked aimlessly, eating street food, peering in shop windows, and feeling like we were on another planet. Not reading or speaking any Korean left us feeling like aliens, we could only talk with each other. I love the time we spent there, surrounded by millions of people, and feeling like the only ones in the world.
