Three times this summer I have seen black bears wandering through the backyard. That includes this fellow I caught resting below the porch deck earlier today. For his own safety as well as the neighbors its better if he doesn't start hanging out around people’s homes. I tossed a pitcher of water down on top of him which caused him to leap to his feet and run off.
