Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken in my home garden flowers. I am semi-amateur who is still learning about animal world.

Time

This one is one of the best photo's I made. I was sitting near flowers for like 30min, doing the least possible moves I could do trying not to scare butterfly's and other insects. Photo was done: 7 June 2016 14:30

Lighting

The only lighting I was using was Sun. I waited for the best time when sun is fully at flowers at garden. From sun light I wanted to show full colors of flower and butterfly. With that much of light I didnt need to think about moved photo or that my lens will be too dark for it.

Equipment

To do this photo I used: Sony A450 with 18-55mm KIT lens + Macro Filter (+4)

Inspiration

Inspiration to do this photo I get from kids times. I always like watching animals and nature around me. When I found about zoom/macro world I always wanna do good photo of it as I saw on many photo sites on internet.

Editing

I don`t like much post-processing in my photos. Things I only changed was doing colors and shades more natural.

In my camera bag

When I am going out for photos I always carry with me my Sony A450 with 18-55Kit lens. In my bag I have two old m43 lenses that I buyed for learning more about manual photography. M21 Jupiter 200mm zoom I use when I cant go closer and I have great weather. Other one is 55mm Helios 44-2 that is good for macro too.

Feedback

For this kind of photos you need be patient. Before doing photos watch where insects are sitting,on what flower. Sit in front of flower and imagine what photo you want to do. Move slowly as you can. Use manual focus for better results. Try do like a few photos of one moment till insect go away.
