Taken on Dec. 26, 2015 just after 1:00 PMLighting
Natural day light, overcast day with the sun behind the clouds.Equipment
Taken with a Sony Alpha A7 with the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4. Hand held at 16mm, ISO 500, f/8, and 1/80 exposure.Inspiration
Snoqualmie falls was very active that day and it was overcast I didn't think I'd get a great shot but after playing with the new super wide sony and making the post-process adjustments it cleaned up really well.Editing
Minor adjustments in Adobe Lightroom then processed in Aurora HDR. I didn't want to over do it and wanted it to look more like what you see with your eyes. I think I succeededIn my camera bag
I normally carry the Sony A7 with the Sony/Zeiss FE 24-70 f/4, the Sony/Zeiss FE 35mm f/2.8. Depending on the situation I'll take the super-wide FE 16-35 or the 70-200 f/4 zoom.Feedback
Keep it simple, get out there and shoot. Then next great camera and the next great lens do you no good if you're not out there using them. I wish I had more time to get out there and shoot more. Time is my biggest need. Sure I want the Sony A7 RII and a Nikon D810 plus all the pro lenses. Maybe some day. Till then I'll still be taking amazing photos with what I have on hand. Patience, trial and error can only be get you further with your skills. Picking the right f-stop and exposure, and getting what you want in focus is only half of the process. Shoot more, learn from what you see and get. Learn from what others are doing also.
