Location
This photo of rain drenched tulip flower was taken near Trummelbach falls at Lauterbrunnen valley, Switzerland.Time
The photo was clicked in the morning of 22 May 2015. It was an overcast day. It seemed there was already heavy rain and wind before we reached.Lighting
There was no direct sunlight. Though it was a cloudy day; it was sufficiently lit morning. So that was a good weather to click.Equipment
I was carrying my regular camera - Nikon D3200 with Nikkor 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6G lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
Most of the flower photographs with/without water drops are too perfectly composed. This beautiful tulip flower, totally and naturally drenched with rain drops caught my attention. The petals were opened. There were lots of irregularly shaped water droplets reflecting the details and shades of colors of the petals. I liked its rawness and the natural beauty. I clicked the photo of this Tulip flower, the way it was, without disturbing its natural form.Editing
For this photo I did some basic edits like color enhancement, brightness, contrast and bit of sharpening using high pass filter. In my camera bag
I mostly carry Nikon D3200 camera with Nikkor 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6G lens. I also have Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens. Sometimes I use macro filters while clicking macro pictures.Feedback
I suppose this photo may not be 'conventionally' perfect. The petals are irregular shaped; there are too many water droplets of varying sizes. But sometimes you will find beauty in imperfection too. Closeups or macro shots show so much details of color, shape and texture. I love its natural beauty and that made this tulip flower dramatic. Beauty is everywhere. The way to find it is by being observant and aware of the surroundings.
