When I saw this little fella, I knew I had to get a photo. As they are fairly skittish animals, I took my time and didn't make any sudden moves.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my nieces backyard where there is this huge Passion fruit vine growing along the back fence.

Time

When I took this photo, I had to wait for the light to get just right as the vine was growing behind the garage and was in dark shade most of the time. I found the light was brightest around midday even though it was still shady.

Lighting

The lighting was muted, there was no bright light hitting anywhere at the time leading the eyes to focus on the center of the bloom showing the bright colors there.

Equipment

Canon EOS 600D. EFS 18-55mm Macro.

Inspiration

The vine has never failed to fill me with wonder as to how it has survived as long as it has and always gives a huge crop of fruit every season. The flowers are beautiful so took the opportunity to take some pics of them in full bloom./

Editing

I tried to sharpen the edges a bit more till it felt right.

In my camera bag

My camera bag is always packed and close at hand if the occasion should arise for some photography excursions. My Camera and 2 lens kit. Cleaning clothes, tripod are all I usually take with me.

Feedback

Not much to say, only this, just move around till you find the shot angle that is what you envision and want to take.
