Nice use of dead space.

Behind The Lens

Location

Semiahamoo Bay, White Rock, BC. I was standing on a pier allowing me to capture the paddle boarded entirely surrounded by water.

Time

Mid afternoon - 3:30pm.

Lighting

Overcast with heavy fog.

Equipment

Nikon D700 camera with a Nikon 14-28mm wide angle lens.

Inspiration

It was extremely quiet and beautiful, and the only thing that could be heard was this single paddler moving almost effortlessly with almost no sound through the water.

Editing

Used Lightroom software to add additional clarity to the overall image.

In my camera bag

I normally bring all of my camera equipment with me on a photo shot as I never know what I will end up shooting. At the time of this shoot, the following Nikon lenses were in my kit bag (14-28mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 & 2X zoom adapter) along with a Manfrotto tripod.

Feedback

When shooting in fog, my only advise is to be patient when shooting outdoors as you never know what what will come drifting in or out of the fog at a moment's notice.
