Captjer, you are an amazing photographer, and so are whatever object or persons you capture. 🤩 I appreciate your writeups too. 👍🏽

This photo was taken in Florida when I was invited to a friends hunting camp. My friends had taken a few nice alligators that day and as I looked around I noticed this one face that intrigued me. Getting his face closer and closer in my viewfinder I finally found the sweet spot and captured the moment. I've always tried to look at what's presented to me and I'm always try to crop in my camera.Time
It's was a cool morning with lots of soft light bouncing off surounding objects.Lighting
One thing I've always loved was overcast and foggie days. The lighting was like a big soft box that day and all the shadows were filled.Equipment
The shot was taken with a Nikon 30D fitted with a Hassiblad 150 mm lens.Inspiration
Sometimes shots just call out to you and if your paying attention you get that moment on film.Editing
I never do much post processing other than some contrast control or removal of dust.In my camera bag
Now adays I carry my Cannon and a few lenses and my iPad.Feedback
All I can say is always stop and smell the roses. When I shoot I use my feelings, smell, touch and all other senses to get the moment I'm looking for. Also, since I was a large format photographer most of my life I think about the fact that each click costs 10 bucks! Never be afraid to get up close and personal to your subject and to get the shot on your first click. Anyone can snap a 100 shots, but not everyone can get it with just one.
