Location
I took this at my local park in a village near Newcastle upon Tyne. It overlooks the flight path to Newcastle airport.Time
it was mid afternoon and I wanted the kids to run off some energy while I had a play with my new camera! ;-)Lighting
Mid afternoon on a cloudy day - there was nothing particularly special about the lighting when this was taken.Equipment
This was a Canon 5D M3 with the 24-105mm kit lens attached; handheld.Inspiration
I wanted some candid shots of the children. When my daughter started swinging really high, I got down really low on the ground behind her and started shooting upwards.Editing
I converted the image to black and white although I had already taken some mono shots in camera, I took this particular one in colour. I also removed some cloud from the plane. In my camera bag
I like to have the 24-105 lens, a 70 - 300 lens and a macro lens. I also usually carry a monopod though I didn't take it to the park when I took this shot.Feedback
Just keep shooting when you're doing candid shots of the kids. Out of lots of shots, if you capture just one magic angle or expression, it's worth it.
