It was at after sunset.Lighting
I positioned myself where I could take advantage of the wall lamp highlighting the subject from above.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 7D and with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. I didn’t use a tripod nor flash.Inspiration
The lighting and the man's positioning together seemed to tell a story that I wanted to capture.Editing
I converted the photo to black and white using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 software. I also did some final touch up in Photoshop.In my camera bag
When I do street photography I only bring my 7D and my Canon EF 24-105mm lens. When on longer trips, I bring it all (wide angle, macro, telephoto lenses) so that I’m ready for any situation.Feedback
Always have your camera with you….you never know when an opportunity knocks.
