Congrats - gorgeous photo - but that's about a 4 year old , you can tell by his mane (Mohawk ) - & they only live 10 -14 years in the wild

Location
On a game drive in Mala Mala, South Africa.Time
Late morning. We followed this old guy for about two hours, and he finally settled down on this hill around 9:30 a.m.Lighting
High clouds provided soft, diffuse light.Equipment
Nikon D610 with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens at 200mm handheld.Inspiration
The lion's regal pose was perfect for who he is. This is an old lion - probably 25 or so - who had been expelled from his pride because he couldn't hunt as well as the younger males. He was now wandering the bush on his own to find food, and probably didn't have many years left. He was scarred and skinny as he walked, but when he took his place on the hill he portrayed his true essence - The King of the Jungle.Editing
Minimal in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Nikon D610; 10.5mm f2.8 fisheye; 12-24 f3.5-4.6; 24-70 f2.8; 70-200 f2.8; two SB900 speedlites; Nikon SU-800 wireless trigger.Feedback
Go to Africa! It's really difficult to take a BAD photograph in the beautiful bush!!!
