Location
This photo was taken at the Hunter Valley Gardens in Australia.Time
It was about mid morning as i remember.Lighting
The lighting was a bit tricky. I had a full blown direct sun light at my exact spot of shooting. Along with me finding different angles where i could shade the direct area, i also had my wife stand over me to help with the shading.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 600D with Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical [IF] LensInspiration
I don't usually look for inspirations to go out shooting. All i need is a new garden, a pond, a walk in the bush or anything new to do. There is always something to shoot in the undergrowth or around the next blade of grass. I love finding new critters to shoot.Editing
Just a little cropping is about all i did.In my camera bag
I tend to just take my camera, macro lens, tripod and maybe a flash.Feedback
The only advice i can give is, don't be shy of looking stupid crawling around from one flower to the next chasing a bug. Someone has to take the time and effort for the rest of the world to enjoy the tiny world that lives around us but we don't get to see and enjoy.
