Location

Early one morning on Beaver Bend river in the Broken Bow area of Oklahoma

Time

6am

Lighting

down in the river it was still dusky looking but the sun was just coming up over the mountains and highlighting the tops of the trees

Equipment

Nikon D7000 Nikkor 24-70 2.8, tripod, 5 exposures 1 stop between each

Inspiration

The river was so peaceful and just wanted to be out in the woods by myself

Editing

combined 5 exposures into an HDR and then took the harsh edge off in Lightroom

D610, Nikkor 14-24 f2.8, Nikkor 24-70 f2.8, Nikkor 70-200 f2.8

Feedback

Patience and walking around thinking about the surroundings and how it will look in the frame. Don't rush the shot but work with a purpose so you don't miss the shot
