Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a race that is held twice a year in St. Jo, Texas. The event where the race is a small portion of is called Rednecks with Paychecks. I did not like my options from the back or side of the start line. I was moving around and found a spot where no other photographer was at the end of the dirt track.

Time

This was midday on a hot Texas summer day.

Lighting

This was taken with my Nikon, my favorite lens the f2.8 70-200 VR zoom and handheld

Inspiration

I really love the design of this race car. The whole beat up old look with all new mechanical parts just stood out to me when I walked past it in the pits. I had to try and capture the uniqueness of this machine.

Editing

I use Adobe Lightroom with a few custom presets that I have changed over the years to capture my style.

In my camera bag

2 Nikon bodies D750 and D610 now. 4 to 6 lens f2.8 14-24, f.2 24-70, f2.8 70-200 x2, Tamron 150-600, 35mm, 50mm, 1 Nikon flash
