It’s not a street. It’s not even a lane. It’s the walkway between market tents and…areas. It’s the desert in northern India that, for 2 weeks each year, becomes the Pushkar Camel Fair, Rajasthan, India. Markets of all kinds abound. The men may actually be camel shopping. Or selling. Or horse shopping. Or selling. For some of the ladies, this may be their only chance this year to buy products and produce other than the limited ones sold in their small village. The shop has lots of goods for camels and horses – bridles, harnaesses, saddles, reins, ornaments, and other gear – and it all seems to be very brightly colored. There are also blankets,
The man running sitting in front of the shop has orange hair. That’s popular among many older men in India. Their hair is turning gray so they dye it with henna. The result is a bright, bright orange.
