Behind The Lens

Location

I was with my son on the slopes of the Campanile di Val Montanaia which is a peak of the Friulian Dolomites, belonging to the Spalti di Toro group, located in Val Montanaia, in the area of ??the upper Val Cimoliana, within the territory of the municipality of Cimolais.

Time

It was early night, and we were preparing dinner by the light of the headlamps

Lighting

It is always fascinating to use small light sources outdoors in the middle of the night to have this island effect.

Equipment

I used my faithful Nikon D800 as usual with the splendid Tamron 15-35mm f2.8 stabilized.

Inspiration

It was a splendid night, spent looking at the stars and the mountains surrounding the Giuliano Perugini bivouac. The atmosphere was magical and with my photo I think I captured this emotion.

Editing

No pp.

In my camera bag

With the D800, when I go to the mountains, I only wear a wide angle and a tele. In addition a monopod. Then a dji osmo pocket, an osmo action and a mavic mini 2 drone are always with me

Feedback

It is essential to have a camera and a lens that allows you to work well even in low light.
