Location
As mostly also this flower portrait was taken in my kitchen without blowing wind, curious insects or neighbours.Time
I like to photograph my flower models in the late evening or in the night, when it`s dark and quiet and when I have time to try different views, angles and light.Lighting
No special effects, no flash and so on ... what I use is mostly only the LED light under the cupboard in my kitchen in long exposure times.Equipment
My camera is a Panasonic Lumix G81 in combination with a LUMIX G MACRO 30mm / F2.8 ASPH H-HS030 for such macro photographs. Of course it is nessecery to use a tripod like Rollei M4-Mini and a wire trigger.Inspiration
Since a few years I like to discover the details, shapes and colors of flowers and to keep the beauty natural masterpieces with my camera. Shining Sunflowers are one of my favourites in my style of photography.Editing
Sometimes I work with software like Corel Photo Paint, Perfectly Clear or Raw Therapee to cut the edges, to rotate the motive or to improve colors and contrast a little bit. But I try already while shooting to be near the final result. In my camera bag
Mostly there are two lenses (LUMIX G MACRO 30mm / F2.8 ASPH H-HS030 and LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH H-FS14140) in my bag, a wire trigger, a few filters (grey and polarization), and sure ... if not in my hands or over my shoulders ... the Panasonic G81.Feedback
Make not only one picture of your motives, try a few different perspectives, and distances! And when you do any post-processing then keep also the originals! Be patient until you are satisfied with the results of your work and your creativity, but never lose pleasure and fun!
