This photo was taken at the Production Studio in Toronto

Time

This was an evening session. My model had been shooting multiple events that day and this was her last session

Lighting

To get the great contrast, this is a 7' parabolic umbrella directly above the model

Equipment

This is a single strobe, taken with a Canon 7Dii. Shot at 55mm, f8, ISO200, 1/160s

Inspiration

I was shooting a series of art nude poses with Olivia, and she gave me this killer pose

Editing

Only processing done to this is the black and white conversion and a bit of a crop.

In my camera bag

I tend to travel pretty light. My camera, and all-purpose zoom lens, a prime 50mm and a couple of speedlights. This is enough to get a shot in almost any situation and is light enough to carry all day.

Feedback

Keep an eye on your lighting - the more you can do in camera instead of post, the easier your job is. For amazing poses, hire a professional model. The knowledge they bring in invaluable.
