Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken actually in the front of my house. So if you think you need to go far to scout out good locations, you might think again ;) There is so many beautiful surroundings that we don't pass any remarks to,and sometimes all you need to do is look around, and have your camera ready.

Time

In the morning,when I've seen this beautiful mist I've decided to go for a walk with my kiddies and our dog Ruby.

Lighting

The light was quite flat, but the fog has made it up in the frame I think. It gives it this fairy tale -like look. I adore to photograph fog,when all the drivers in Ireland are complaining about tough driving conditions in the fog , I'm like- bring it on! :D

Equipment

NIKON D700 105.0 mm f/2.8 105mm/ƒ/4/1/160s/ISO 500 No flash, only natural light,no reflectors.

Inspiration

The mist which I've seen looking through the window of my bedroom.

Editing

Not too much of processing in this case. Just a bit of cross processing and colour toning in photoshop CC

In my camera bag

24-70mm tamron and sigma 105 2.8 prime HSM +d700

Feedback

Just watch out for a fog, it really photographs easy and you don't need any special equipment for it. Let the kids have their little walk and enjoy themselves, the more natural the capture is- the better. You just need to press the shutter in the right moment when you see some emotions going on. Enjoy!
