This photo was taken last winter near Duisburg, Germany. This photo is special to me as it was my first snow experience.Time
It was a cold winter morning with the first snow of the season. Everything was covered in white. I remember the excitement, it was like waking up in a different world.Lighting
There is no special lighthing for this shot, but I love the contrast betwen my friend and the snow and I tried to include the leading line on each side to add perspective and bring the audience to my main subject which is my friend walking through the snow.Equipment
For this shot I used my trustable iPhone 5. I enjoy shooting everyday moments with my phone when I left my camera at home.Inspiration
Since this was my first snow experience, I want to capture the moment that last forever. I had my friend walked in front of me through the snow to the nearest train station. I took a few shots and tried to adjust for better composition. I am happy this one came out nicely.Editing
I did retouched this photo using VSCOcam and some minor adjustment in Snapseed. In my camera bag
I am currently using Canon EOS 60D and 18-55mm kit lens together with the nifty fifty 50mm F1.8 , a tripod and of course my phone that work well as my point and shoot when I need it.Feedback
We often overlooked on everyday moments that happens around us. Always be ready and prepared with our surrounding. Besides that, try to include interesting elements by adjusting the composition when you can. For example for this shot I try to include leading lines to add perspective to the photo. Enjoy experimenting and happy shooting!
