Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home.

Time

This was taken in the evening while using indoor lighting.

Lighting

Lighting was a string of white Christmas lights.

Equipment

Nikon D7000, Nikkor lens 40mm Macro lens. Tripod, and remote shutter release.

Inspiration

"The Book of Love" was created using one of my favorite books ever written, Born Free by Joy Adamson. It is a story of an orphaned lion cub that is successfully raised and released back into the wild. I wanted to try and take a bokeh photo of the book with some of the pages in a heart shape to show my love for books, this story, and lions.

Editing

There was no post processing of this photo.

Feedback

Use Manual setting on your camera using a lens with a wide apertures of f/2, f/1.8 or f/1.4. You will want your subject close for your shot. Also, practice, and don't get discouraged if you don't always get the perfect shot.
