It's late September and we are camping in Utah canyon country when a massive storm front comes through. Rain pours from the sky, dropping close to 3 inches at Bryce National Park in just over 24 hours. Our tent is soggy, lakes begin to develop beneath us, and we finally give up and head home to Colorado. As we drive north of Capitol Reef National Park, a new dramatic wave of the storm approaches. These photos are of that moment.
