Hollywood is once again glamorous! Many photo-ops await you on the streets of Hollywood, Ca. All you need is your camera, a good eye and your 2 feet!Time
Street photography is usually best in the morning. Life starts in the morning.Lighting
I never shoot with flash. This was taken in the shade and I couldn't very well tell my subject to stand in the right light. You normally only get a chance or 2 with street photography. Therefore, I chose to convert this to image to b&w. It played well with lack of exposure.Equipment
With my Canon 6D or 7D, I can conquer the world...Or at least photograph it. And of course my favorite go-to lens, the Tamron 70-200mm with VC. I never leave home without it!Inspiration
In street photography, you want to capture humanity while it's really happening. Nothing staged, save that for magazine covers. Action truly speaks louder than words, this man's face said thousands of words. If I was able to capture just a minuscule of that...Then perhaps my mission was accomplished. Furthermore, he loves what he was doing. That inspired me the most. You can't fake passion.Editing
Simply a bit of enhancing. Too many cooks can spoil the image...So to speak. Since this was shot in the shade, I simply lighten the shadows and darkened the contrast a bit.In my camera bag
It's pretty simple, my Canon 6D or 7D and what I feel is their ultimate companion piece...The Tamron 70-200mm with VC.Feedback
They say that there's no such thing as luck. But...There is timing. Or better yet, right time, right place. Go where the action is. Outdoor events are great for that type of thing. Lighting may not always be in your favor, but capturing humanity is priceless. And sometimes, bad exposure can add to the effect. It may turn out to be a brilliant mistake!
