This picture is part of my first fashion shoot outside ever ! it was taken in Montreal's old port... I had so many things planned for this shoot, many places to go, but in the end we stayed at the same place and it was amazing ! it's a shoot that made me learned a lot !Time
I planned this shoot for months !! I wanted a sunset feeling for the whole project... It was in early september, the light in Montreal is just amazing at this time of the year ! I remember that on this morning the sky was so beautiful that the whole day had to be to !!! so I went to work and asked my colleague if she was ready to leave early for the shoot !! I have the best colleague ever !!! In the end well the sunset wasn't that amazing, we had lots of clouds, and also some rain... but we didn't care, we had so much fun creating this series !!!Lighting
I wanted a natural look for this picture... so my only light was the sun in the back, and the clouds made the sky my natural big softbox !Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II and a 24-70 mm 2.8 ...And... that's it !Inspiration
I wanted to take a natural Fashion portrait ... sweet, secret, a portrait that make the viewer feeling something.. during the shoot this pose came naturally, like it had to be done.Editing
I did a lot of retouching on this picture ! well lots of color toning in order to recover what I was seeing during the shoot. I played with the curves mostly, and added some flares and grades...In my camera bag
I always have my first lense ever, my 50mm 1.4 in my bag... sometimes I only leave home with that on my camera + a spare of battery, In Montreal winters are really cold and the batteries do not last long...Feedback
To take that kind of picture, go out at the end of the day, take with you a dear friend, your camera one lense and that's it, let the magic of you two being together act :)
