This photo was taken in my first studio, it was one of my first test shoot for a modeling agency !Time
At that time, I was shooting after my daily work hour, and this outfitt wasn't the first one we did, so it must have been approximatively 7:00 pm .. I remember that since her mother was here, I wasn't sure about this kind of sexy picture... but everything went well, and this one is the best picture we did !!!Lighting
For this picture I only used one light ! I just loooove using only one light !!! So it was a big Octa on my left, close to my subject, feathered, a little bit higher than her, and tilt down a little bit, but not too much ... I also had my stylist coming in with a white piece of foam core as a reflector just under my camera, and tilt toward my subject .. using just one light is so much fun !!! you can really create and play with lights and shadows ... I added during this shoot a big piece of black foam core on my right, just to intensify my shadows a little bitEquipment

I always do lot's of post processing ! but for this image, ambra's skin was so perfect that it didn't need much retouching ! As for the color grading, I always add some gradients & curves to get this soothing look.In my camera bag
In my Daily bag ? only my Iphone... But on shoot I always pack my 50mm. I bought it 10 years ago, and I'm still using it !!!! It's such a wonderful lens ! I also always have some advil, because you never know who might have an headache on set... some sweets, a bottle of water and most importantly more memory cards than needed and a couple of backup battery... One day I went on a location shoot during winter with only one battery, after 2 hours the battery was dead because of the cold, I had to breath on it to keep it warm to shoot a couple of more pictures.. since this day, I always a couple of battery in my bag !Feedback
The more important advice I can give you is to speak with your model while she is with your makeup artist, try to know her and install a sense of confidence with her, be transparent with your model, explain exactly what you want, and always encourage her !!!! Also if she wants to try something, let her do her thing, You never know what might happen !
