Location
I made this shot in a nearby park, a place i regularly visit whilst trying to improve my skills, mainly learned through YouTube and webinars.Time
I remember it was about 7'30am. I got to the park earlier and was amazed by the light and fog. I roamed through the whole place trying to find good compositions.Lighting
I wanted to seize the fog and give the photo an ethereal, fantasy feeling and also to convey some mystery.Equipment
I had only my Olympus om-d e-m10 mark III and the 40-150mm kit lens.Inspiration
i was inspired by the mystery feeling that was all around the park mainly due to the presence of the fog and the golden quality of the light.Editing
I did some dodging and burning and tried to emphasized the light and fog whilst trying to guide the viewer's eyes to the mallards. In my camera bag
As of now, i use the Olympus om-d e-m10 mark III and i have three lenses. The aforementioned M.Zuiko 40-150mm f4/5.6, the M.Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 and a Sigma 16mm f1.4. I also have a couple of graduated neutral density filters, a polarizing filter and two neutral density filters. I also carry a tripod.Feedback
You can find beautiful compositions near your home, just look for the right conditions. Fog, mist, snow, rain, even wind, can lend a lot of mood and different emotions to your images. If you wait for the right light, you can freeze in time truly magical moments.
