My kitchen is my "studio" ... most of my flower photographs I take there independently from daytime, wind and weather ... and I can try so many things without insects or curious neighbours ;)Time
For my style of flower photography I need a total darkness around. But with the blind outside my kitchen windows it's possible to take pictures at every time of day or night. But sometimes while shooting photos at night I forget to go to bed ;)Lighting
No flash but long exposure times in the LED light under my cupboard, this is all what I need for such pictures.Equipment
I use a MFT camera, a Panasonic Lumix G81, mostly with the macro lens LUMIX G ASPH H-HS030. Because of very long exposures I also need a tripod, a Rollei M4-Mini, and a cable release.Inspiration
It´s always great to discover our nature´s beauty, especially in all the little things around us. I only try to keep a little bit of colorful and fascinating flowers and their amazing details with my camera.Editing
Sometimes I use software like Corel Photo Paint, Perfectly Clear or Raw Therapee to rotate and cut the pics very easy or to get special effects. But the first way for wanted results is always the white balance of the camera. In my camera bag
At home I don't need a big bag for my flower photography. While traveling usually there are two lenses in my bag, LUMIX G MACRO 30mm / F2.8 ASPH H-HS030 and LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH H-FS14140, sometimes a few filters (grey and polarization), and always ... of course... the Panasonic G81.Feedback
Photography is a wonderful hobby to discover our world and to keep special moments or amazing beauty. So be creative with your equipment and be patient with yourself until you are satisfied with the results! Enjoy it, have pleasure and fun!
