Location
This photograph was taken in the country where there are many wild birds of prey but there is also a facility where birds of prey now live as they are unable to be released back into the wild for one reason or another. It is called Mountsberg Raptor Centre which is located near Campbellford, Ontario.Time
This photograph was taken on a beautiful day at 12:00 p.m.Lighting
No flash was required with this photograph as it was taken in the morning/afternoon.Equipment
I used my Canon camera which was hand held. I do not have expensive camera equipment nor do I believe that you need to have an expensive camera to capture a beautiful photograph. The camera does not take the photograph but the photographer does.Inspiration
I have always loved any birds of prey. I find them to be so regal, graceful, swift and powerful that they just amaze me. When the opportunity arose to photograph the birds of prey, I jumped at it.Editing
The post-processing I did on this photograph was to cropped it a bit and then I used Photomatix to make the photograph a bit more vibrant! I then textured it to make it the photograph you see now.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry my Canon camera, extra batteries, various filters, lens filter cleaner and extra memory cards.Feedback
I believe that every photograph tells a story, so make your photograph tell a story. Photography changes the way you see things. You notice colours, textures, people, nature … everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through a lens. Have fun and enjoy doing what you love doing, which is taking photographs. Don’t follow your dreams … chase them!
