Bad conditions it stimulates me to try to take a good photograph, I think it's a great exercise.
Capturing this image wasn't easy, weather conditions were really prohibitive, the gusts of wind put a strain on my stability, all complicated by the enormous amount of sand that flew.
Try to find the right crop, the finest detail, keep the equipment protected and at the same time maintain the lucidity was a great exercise to improve yourself.
Never give up a photo session, even when the weather conditions seem unfavorable, it's a good way to train and improve.
Of course, the most difficult but also the most important thing is to be aware of when to say enough, it's not easy, but we have to do it, our life is more important than a shot, let's never forget it.

Location
I took this photo on the north-east coast of Italy near Comacchio, a small town near Ferrara.Time
I think it was around noon, one of the best things about shooting in bad conditions is that any time of day the light is ok.Lighting
Bad conditions, in landscape photography are worth, don't stay at home !Equipment
This is a long exposure and, of course, a rock solid tripod is essential, especially if you shoot in windy conditions like this, I remember that there were almost 70 Km/h ! I've shoot with my Canon 5DSr, 50mm 1.2L and I attached my backpack to the tripod to increase stability. I've also attached to my lens a 3 stop graduated filter obtaining a more moody sky.Inspiration
Year after year my photography is changing, evolving. I noticed that my vision has changed and the attention I give to some details. I love trying to make the composition as minimalist as possible !Editing
Of course, a bit of post-production is always in my shots, but I don't like to distort the image in post-production, I always try to get the right exposure on location. In this in particular I did not make many changes, I adjusted shadows and lights to give some contrast through the curves and corrected locally the exposure of the subject because it had been distorted by the graduated filter. In my camera bag
When shooting landscapes, a tripod must not be missing in my backpack, obviously my DSLR, the filters, the 16-35mm, 24-70mm, the 70-200 and, as in this case, if I don't have the drone with me (70km/h of wind) I also put in my bag the 50mm that I love!Feedback
Try to simplify the compositions and never stop observing the scenes and details carefully. Arrive on the location at least 30 minutes before, sit and observe, look around and try compositions by moving with your smartphone.
