Behind The Lens

Location
That image was captured in the north-east coast of Italy.
Time
About 6AM
Lighting
I always say that in landscape photography light is 80% of the shot, and the light is "shaped" by weather conditions.
Equipment
For that shot I've used a solid tripod, an full-frame camera with wide-angle lens (16mm) who emphasizes the prospective of the lines in the beach. Attached to the lens I've putted a graduated filter matching the luminosity of the sky with the foreground and a polarizer for control the glare of the sun.
Inspiration
I'm a nature lover and at sunrise in a desert beach you can get in touch with them. I always try to go out even if I'm not sure of the weather conditions. It fascinates me a lot, the scene is continuously reversed, from winter to summer, from rainy to sunny days.
Editing
Yes, I always shoot in raw and in that case I've adjusted the curves, shadows, highlights and the sharpness in the entire image and locally. I can't abuse of the regulations, I only take the image more engaging for transmit emotions and mood of that moment.
In my camera bag
Usually I carry with me a solid Tripod, the camera, an wide angle zoom (16-35mm), a standard lens (50mm), a telezoom (70-200), a teleconverter (Canon 2x), a motorized pan head, graduated and non-graduated ND filters, Circular polarizer, a remote time controller and some torches for night excursions.
Feedback
ALWAYS TRY !!! no matter where, what matters is to know and understand how "to be helped" by weather conditions, play with light. Even the beach or the mountain near our home can change drastically with a slight change in weather: from winter to summer, from a windy day to a calm, at sunrise or at sunset, in stormy conditions or not. my advice is to learn how to master the light by learning how the weather conditions can allow us to "draw" the final image.
