Location
This photo was taken at Indre Avreidkilen, in Risør, Norway.Time
The shot was done at 17:01 hrs right after sunset. Timing was critical since this was on 13 January, and we don't have too much daylight this time of the year. Also, I wanted the bearing of the sun right, in order to get the right reflection in the brackish water area surface.Lighting
As said we don't have too much daylight this time of the year. Also, I wanted the bearing of the sun right, in order to get the right reflection in the brackish water area surface.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D MkIV, EF16-35 mm @33 mm, 1/20s (average) f/14 ISO 100 tripod no flash, 3 different exposure shots, HDR post treatment in LIghtRoom.Inspiration
I love the view, I even have this picture on my wall at home, in format 120 x 80 cm. I liked the challenge of the lighting, requiring HDR post treatment.Editing
HDR post treatment in LR, using three shots with different exposure. In my camera bag
I love the combo Canon EOS 1DX MkII + EF 600 II f/4, which I always bring for wild animal shots, but I do bring a lot more at times.Feedback
Get out there and make the shot, spend time in the field instead of in front of your computer. Ignore cold weather, it's worth it!
