Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a way leading though a forest in middle germany.

Time

It was early afternoon 14 o'clock or so.

Lighting

Most of the time i use only natural light. Also here ther was no flash or reflectors included.

Equipment

This picture was taken with a Sony Alpha 7RM3 and a 35mm f1.4. While i had also the veil of the bride overhead i took the pic with the camera handheld.

Inspiration

I like close up portraits and getting the viewer near to the persons in my pictures. So i used the 35mm to get close and involved also the veil over our heads to create a more interesting look and atmosphere in the scene

Editing

The basic look was created in Lightroom in regards of colors. Afterwards i added some more contrast in Photoshop and did - just a little bit - beauty retouch.

In my camera bag

I usually carry two boys (7M3 & 7RM3) with diffrent lenses. I usually have 3 of this lenses with me: 35mm f1.4 / 85mm F1.4 / 70-200mm f2.8 / 24mm f1.4 / 16-35mm f.28 / 55mm f1.8

Feedback

If you have the chance to do a wedding shooting - get close to the couple with a relativ wide lens. Put the veil overhead and look for the arrangement of the fabric. Take your pics...
