I set up for this composure today in the spillway of a lake so that my camera was about as close to the same level as the lake surface as I could get. The fall colors in the Natural Bridge - Red River Gorge area made for a nice background.

Location
This image was captured at Mill Creek Lake near Slade, Kentucky.Time
It was captured at 3:56 pmLighting
It was an overcast day, but not dark clouds.Equipment
Captured with a Olympus E-5, with a Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-54mm, 2.8-3.5 lens set an a focal length of 20mm.Inspiration
Family medical problems had prevented me from getting out much in the month leading up to this day, so I was spending the day chasing Fall Foliage.Editing
Post processing included a minor crop and a bit of color boost. In my camera bag
This day I was carrying in my pack: one Olympus E-5, a Zuiko 14-54mm /2.8-3.5, a Zuiko 7-14mm /1.4, and a Zuiko 50-200mm / 2.8-3.5 SWD.Feedback
Overcast days are perfect for waterfall photos. There is no need for a neutral density filter. I usually set my ISO lower. use something between f/11 and f/22 and try to work with 1/2 second to 60 second exposures depending on the wind and what effect I am looking for.
