Location
"Time to Reflect" was captured on a local 150 acre lake that is surrounded by a wooded watershed in the knob region of Kentucky.Time
The time of day was just before 6pm in the evening.Lighting
The evening Sun was low and slightly diffused by light thin clouds.Equipment
The image was recorded at 1/1000 sec at f/5.0 with a 50-200mm Olympus Zuiko lens mounted on an Olympus E-5 digital camera. The focal length was 200mm. I took the shot freehand from another Kayak.Inspiration
As I was cutting across the lake I was struck by the calmness of the water and the reflections being cast.Editing
Post processing was a matter of crop and touching up a few places on the water's surface. In my camera bag
As I was out on the lake for a birding adventure, I had a couple of Olympus E-5 bodies with me this day. One fitted with a 50-200mm Zuiko lens and the other with the same lens with a 2x teleconverter.Feedback
