Excellent! I have one of that pier in my portfolio: long exposition in colour...

Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in England’s south coastal town of Brighton. The old west pier burnt down a few years ago, the frame is now popular with visitors and photographers.Time
The photo needed to be taken at high tide one morning before the sun game round too far.Lighting
It was a sunny day, the window for the shot was only about 20 minuets.Equipment
The photo was taken with a Nikon D810 and a Zeiss camera lens. It was mounted on a Gitzo tripod. A Formatt Hitech 10 stop filter was used alon with a remote.Inspiration
It’s a fantastic spot on the beach. I’ve taken the photo before but without the person. If was fun experimenting getting the timing right as I ran round to the front of the camera.Editing
I’ve changed the levels of the photo and converted to mono using silver efex pro and photoshop. In my camera bag
I always have a Nikon camera some Zeiss lenses, Formatt Hitech filters and a remote. Some lens wipes, rain cover and spare batteries are always a must too.Feedback
Always make sure you check what the tide is doing. It can be dangerous standing out there if the tide is coming in fast. Check the weather too, large waves can come out of nowhere. Have fun and be careful.
