Took an early trip out to shoot the Milky Way, but the clouds did not help me, I left home by 3:30 AM. I guess the plan was good ,but the weather was not planning on cooperating. So, I went back to the Z Tree and I came back with this capture during the blue hour. I did a bit of post with Light Room from Adobe.

This image was taken while attempting to capture the Milky Way, as you can tell by the clouds, that was not going to happen. Good thing at this time of the year the Milky Way is viewed in south Florida right before daybreak so I can go for and switch to plan B incase things did not pan out for me. When I realized what I was being dealt with I soon prepared for an image during the blue hour and this is the end results. The picture was taken about 14 miles into the Everglades National park road on our way to Flamingo Marina. The long exposure made for the interesting motion of the clouds in the background you can see. This cypress tree has taken this shape after being battered by numerous hurricanes. She is a resilient strong survivor. Now it has become a photographer's hot spot.Time
I managed to set up for this capture way before the sunrise while still in the blue hour.Lighting
With a long exposure it was not hard to bring up the colors of the trees in the foreground with a bit of post in Lightroom while the sun was rising to my east.Equipment
Sony A7III, Tamron wide zoom, camera on sticks and a cable shutter release.Inspiration
I had scouted this place previously and knew that if I could keep coming back I would be able to capture it in different lighting conditions. Having a few items in the bag in order to capture different scenes makes for a good chance of always capturing the moment.Editing
I use Photoshop, mostly Lightroom to enhance my images. I try to capture the moment mostly with the capabilities of the equipment and I then try not to over cook my images in post.In my camera bag
In my bag I carry a zoom up to 200mm, a mid zoom and a super wide zoom, My Sony A7III, Induro carbon tripod, a shutter release, and all the extra stuff I will need to stay safe and keep my equipment clean and dry from the elements!Feedback
Shoot high or low, super early or super late. Include night shots while mostly all on sticks.
