Location
I took this photograph when I went on a trip with my friends in South India.Time
It was mid afternoon and it was a pretty good day.Lighting
The lighting was absolutely great on that day. We were taking rest beside the bank of a river in a small boat under the shadow of a tree. A little amount of light brought splendour to his face in that shadows.Equipment
I dont own a camera. But fortunately my friend had a camera, which I borrowed from him. It was a SONY ILCE-3000 with Sony E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS standard lens.Inspiration
I went on a boat trip with my friends in ferry. There I met this fisherman,We had some conversation with him. He said some interesting stories that happened around the ferry. His eyes portrays the hard life he struggled in his life. I asked him 'Can I take your photograph' ? And he happily said 'Yes you can...'. And I captured his little smile and striking eyes.Editing
Yes, I have done a little work in lightroom and photoshop to bring on the details of his face in black and white. In my camera bag
I dont have a Dslr. But I wish I had a Nikon D810 with Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD.Feedback
If you want to capture expressions in someone's face, talk to them and ask about their goods and bads to know more about their life. And always focus on their eyes...
