It was around 2 'O' Clock in the mid-afternoon.Lighting
When I first saw the oldman in the blacksmith workshop, his work seems very unique and inside it was really hot. I searched for right composition to fit the frame and checked every corner in live vew. Finally I got low to his level, the lighting was perfect and the fire started to lit. Before the fire goes up and block the camera's vision I took the shot.Equipment
This was shot on a Sony A58, with an 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 SAM Lens.Inspiration
I was on a vehicle when I saw this old blacksmith working in his workshop. He is very old to work, yet he still works day and night for his family. Such a dedication, we can only see in the people like these. I decided to take few photographs and it turned out to be the best portrait showcasing his work.Editing
I post-processed this image in Lightroom 5.7.1. I usually do all my processing in lightroom only. I play with the WB, contrast, highlights, shadows and clarity keys to achieve the proper exposure to the image. In my camera bag
To be honest, I dont own a DSLR, the picture I captured was through my friend's camera. I just borrowed from him for a while. But, If I have to had a kit, then it would be a Nikon D810 with tamron 15-30mm f2.8 vc, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G, NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR and nikon 70-200mm f/2.8g vr ii.Feedback
The only thing to get an exquisite and intriguing photograph is to get closer to the subject. Have patience and wait for the decisive moment. See the world from a unique perspective and try some different angles.
