Location
This picture was taken from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.Time
This photo was taken in the late afternoon.Lighting
Before taking this photo, I was struck with the beautiful lighting and the shadows playing off the walls of the Grand Canyon. The lighting really highlighted the colors of the walls of the canyon.Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel Xsi, with no tripod or flash.Inspiration
Again, I loved how the Canyon looked in the late afternoon with this lighting, and the shadows, and the colors highlighted on the walls. It actually made me stop in my tracks! I also liked the fact that there was this tree in the foreground.Editing
There was no post-processing or any other touch-ups.In my camera bag
Just my Canon, and my telephoto lens.Feedback
I would say, wait for later in the day, or perhaps at Sunrise when the lighting is at its best. Look for something interesting that can be at the forefront of your photo.
