Location
This photo was taken in a hotel in Hamilton, Ontario. It was part of a day long shoot with this model.Time
I don't remember exactly what time, maybe late afternoon. But the curtains were all pulled so its hard to tell.Lighting
I wanted the lighting to show her curves, as well as her fantastic hair. I think for this shot I used LED lights, not strobe like I usually do.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5DMII. I can't remember what lens exactly, but it may have been the Sigma 35mm Art lens.Inspiration
She is one of the best models I have worked with, even though she was very inexperienced. But she was certainly not shy and willing to experiment. I wanted to capture her sensuality.Editing
I shoot always RAW. This was processed first in Lightroom, then converted to BW using SilverEFEX.In my camera bag
Up until recently I shot mainly with the 5DMII, but have recently switched to Nikon D810. I only use prime lenses, usually have a range from 24 to 85mm depending on the job and what is needed. I am a huge fan of the Sigma A series lenses, especially the 35 and 50mm. I don't use LED lighting much anymore. For strobes I pack 2 AlienBees, plus elinchrom deep octobox modifiers.Feedback
Find a model you get along with. Work with someone that shares your vision, and you'll get the shots you need. Hire a professional model if you need to. usually they don't fail to disappoint. Also have a clear vision in your head to what you want to shoot, do your research before hand.
