Location
This was taken in my home studio in Hamilton, Ontario.Time
Noon.Lighting
Tough to balance the lighting because of all the reflections from the gold.Equipment
Leica SL2, Sigma 50mm, PCB DigiBees strobes. Rotalux softboxes.Inspiration
This image is part of a series, taken in the same seated position, using ONE main colour with the focus on some food item.Editing
I shoot tethered using C1, but I do my initial post in LR and then final tweaks in PS.In my camera bag
I shoot almost exclusively in studio. I have my main camera and a 50 and 24 mm lens. I always shoot tethered to a MacBook Pro using capture1. My shooting rig I use an L-bracket on the camera, so the camera itself becomes very heavy so I always try to shoot on a tripod.Feedback
I used real eggs for this, but I used larger duck eggs. Not only are they bigger than normal eggs (slightly) but the shells I found were somewhat smoother. make sure you til the eggs first!!!! Then paint them.
