Yes I had to jump into the where the wave receded after waiting for a large wave came far up on shore to get the reflections of the lights in the wet sand. Anyone familiar with wet sand knows your tripod can sink or another big wave might interrupt my 25 second exposure and wash the sand from under my tripod. Suffice to say I had to do this multiple times and then zoom in to see if there was any slight movement.Equipment
I used my Nikon D750, 14-24mm f2.8 lens, remote release and Mephoto tripodInspiration
The beach at night and capturing something different than what people normally see.Editing
Yes I cooled it down a bit added some clarity but minor adjustments in LightroomIn my camera bag
Nikon D750, 14-24mm F.2.8, 50mm F1.4, 120-400mm f5.6, various ND and GND filters, Cleaning kit, extra batteries and memory cards, a Mephoto tripod, a drink and snacks and all stuffed in a Lowpro backbackFeedback
If you want star bursts set your aperture to f9 or higher for clarity at night it's better to slightly overexpose than uder becuase you can come down in post but if there are black areas the information won't be there to try and come up in post. Thanks for stopping and most important, have fun!
