Location
This moment was captured in Keenesburg, CO @ The Wild Animal Sanctuary; utilizing their "Mile in the Sky" elevated walkway through the park.Time
I believe this was early in the afternoon, the sun was still high in the sky coming in at a slight angle.Lighting
The sun was super bright, no clouds , and it was very warm for May. I believe the bright sun helped with the capture of this image. Without the intense lighting, I'm not sure I could have captured the water droplets.Equipment
Camera: Sony A580, Lens: Sigma 150-500mm, Handheld no filter, Focal length: 400mm, Shutter: 1/4000, Aperture: f/6.3, ISO: 800Inspiration
I will admit, this is the first time I had ever used 1/4000 Shutter Speed. The Grizzly Bears (Tiny & Boris), were spending time in the pool to keep cool. I just hoped I could capture them playing together, but never thought I would have an opportunity to catch something like this. "Tiny" really put on a show that day!Editing
color enhancement and sharpened his face a little. In my camera bag
Cameras: Sony A77, Sony A580, Lenses: Sigma 150-500mm, Sigma 18-250mm, Sony kit 18-55mm, Mixed filters & TripodFeedback
Start to use settings on your camera that you might not normally utilize or understand. It's the only way you will really get to know your equipment. Trial & Error is a great learning tool.
