Location
Quite simply in my bedroom at home!Time
Approximately 12pm, as I suffer with anxiety I was finding it hard to sleep at the time.Lighting
The lighting is merly a lamp on my bedside table, but it created a really soft and beautiful light on my face I couldn't not capture!Equipment
A Nikon D3100 and your average 50mm lens is all I used, my camera was simply propped on top of a pillow! Who said you can't photograph cheaply?!Inspiration
I suffer severely from two anxiety disorders, at the time I couldn't sleep due to my mental health so I decided to photograph myself and attempt to show the pain I was going through.Editing
I edited my image in Lightroom to start with to make it black and white, as shooting in black and white can loose detail and essential 'shades of grey' that would be missed. I then edited in the cracks on my face in Photoshop as this is the best software for photo manipulation in my opinion. I am completely self taught also so I would advise anyone to not be afraid to experiment with computer software! In my camera bag
That would depend on what I am doing of course. I have a 50mm for every day shots, 200mm zoom lens for those far away wildlife or astronomy shots, 35mm for beautiful close up shots with great depth of field, and a wide angle lens for the amazing views I come across. This is all along side a 16gb memory card, Nikon D7100 and a UV lens filter.Feedback
Experiment! Don't be afraid to be different, because that will help you stand out. And enjoy what you are doing, good pictures come from love and passionate photographers.
